OLFix (Freeware) for Outlook 97 to 2007 combines some tools for repairing common things like the profile, contact links and features, for example calling the internal Outlook repair command line switches with a click of a button. Also some hidden settings can be set for example reminders in different folders. Highlights: a) Repairs Outlook profiles. b) Repairs Outlook contact links. c) Extends reminder folders. d) Enables Outlook address book in Outlook express and other programs. e) Searches of dupes in Outlook. Outlook sometimes has problems with the profiles, if you for example delete a data file while Outlook is running, Outlook sometimes forgets to delete some registry keys. At next start Outlook will try to load the deleted store provider but will fail because some of the keys are deleted and some not. This gives you sometimes double personal folders, double OLfolders, double Exchange folders, slow Outlook start and errors on start up. Open repair profiles and select the profile you want to repair. OLFix will display all registry entries for this profile. Some of them are pre-selected; the pre-selected entries usually can be deleted. Most data files require two registry keys, one main key and one detail key. Exchange usually has one more than two keys, the main key for Exchange and detail keys for your email accounts, shared folders, personal folders, delegates etc. If you find PST files, OLfolders files etc. with only one key or with more than two keys, they usually are damaged. In Outlook, elements can contain links to contacts; Outlook stores the entry ID of the contact. If you export the file into a new one, the links will still point to the old file, if that is not present, the contact link no longer works. There may be other opportunities to damage contact links. OMNIQUAD Outlook Encryption allows you to seamlessly send and receive encrypted e-mail to and from other Outlook Encryption users. This product uses symmetric encryption, meaning that you need to agree the pass phrase with the e-mail recipient before they can read your message. Symmetric encryption is not intended to be a replacement for public key encryption system, but it is a viable alternative for many cases where using a public key encryption is not the best option. Sending encrypted messages is easy. All it involves is clicking the Encrypt button once you have finished typing your message and inserting your attachments. Outlook Encryption will prompt you for a pass phrase to use as a key to encrypting the message. The recipient will have to use the same pass phrase to read your message. Any attachments you insert will be automatically encrypted too.Decrypting received encrypted messages is also very simple. There is a free plug-in reader available. Enter the pass phrase when you are prompted and the mail decrypts in your Inbox. The Password Book stores pass phrases you used to encrypt messages to or decrypt messages from specific users, but only if you set option "Remember pass phrase in my password book" while entering the pass phrase itself. If you send or receive encrypted messages frequently to or from the same sender - select option Remember Pass Phrase in your Password Book. Your pass phrase will be associated with this sender only and so future encrypted messages to or from this sender will be encrypted automatically without prompting you to enter anything again.

OutLock is an add-in for Microsoft Outlook 2000/2002 (XP)/2003 which enables you to encrypt and decrypt message items with a single click to protect your privacy. If you want to keep messages in your Outlook information store (eg. PST-File) safe you can protect the store by using a password. However there are several tools around the net which are able to recover the the password for a PST-File. OutLock overcomes this security leak by allowing you to encrypt (lock) sensitive messages with a single click within your Outlook information store. OutLock encrypts the message in place. Means that the original content of a message is encrypted by OutLock and then saved to the message item. There is no additional software necessary to encrypt or decrypt the messages. |
